Haulk & Herrera LLP is a boutique California employment law firm dedicated exclusively to representing employees. We litigate high-impact employment cases throughout California, including wage-and-hour individual and representative actions, as well as matters involving wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, and discrimination.

We are seeking a mid-level associate attorney with at least 4 years of California employment law experience to join our growing plaintiff-side practice.

The Role

You will work closely with the firm’s partners and play a substantive role in employment litigation, including:

  • Litigating single-plaintiff, class action, and PAGA matters

  • Drafting complaints, pleadings, and written discovery

  • Taking and defending depositions

  • Managing discovery and analyzing payroll and timekeeping data

  • Drafting and arguing motions

  • Participating in mediations and settlement negotiations

  • Communicating directly with clients

  • Assisting with class certification and settlement approval

This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and involvement in litigation strategy from the outset.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of California employment law experience

  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

 

Education & Licensure

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)

  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar

 

What We Offer

  • Salary range: $150,000–$215,000, commensurate with experience

  • Remote work arrangement

  • Hands-on litigation experience and direct client contact
